The kids play 2 minute shifts and go from one end of the rink to the other pretty quickly. They all have improved since the start of their careers in September and Mason is doing well. I'm not to sure about the sweaters though. Kinda look like a team I dislike a lot from back east. :)
Yep. That's Mason in goal during a recent tournament in Hope, BC. Road trip, 4 hockey games, bowling in between games on Saturday and a great trophy. The kids take turns in goal as no one has been suckered into having their kid play goal all the time yet. Certain grandparents have their fingers crossed. LOL. He had a great time.

Wood for Campfire is Required...... Family Day 2012 ...The girls of the family stayed home and the boys of the family all went to the Point. Rob and Josh went down the night before and had everything ready to go and even had a tree down and bucked up already. So fighting the after effects of a mighty chilli supper that Rob and Josh shared at every opportunity, Chris, Mason, and I arrived around 9 AM and we filled up the empty half of the wood shed. We are ready for summer. Three trees was all we needed and we cleaned up some fallen cedar for kindling. The two youngest appear to be missing when this tree was fallen. Off on the trail being boys I guess. FINALLY we got one. We have talked far to long about doing this and with the help of the Younger generation. Rob/Chris, Grandsons Josh and even Mason doing the heavy digging it happened. We had to level and add crush to make a pad & dig and fill in a trench for the electric hookup.. Well done everybody. So we have had it going since Friday Morning. A whole 3 days now. I am kicking myself that we didn't do it before. It makes my early starts to the day way more pleasant. Me and the birds this am. Crows, a lost robin and an huge eagle. The crows and the eagle flew so close (not at the same time) I could hear their wings flapping.
As you can see from the last picture we will get sun later in the spring. It's still too early for total backyard sun. The houses block it out for now. There was a bit of ice on the steps into the tub when I went out this morning but once in...who cares. In the area drop by to try it. It's not a really big tub but we can fit you in in shifts. lol |
