FINALLY we got one. We have talked far to long about doing this and with the help of the Younger generation. Rob/Chris, Grandsons Josh and even Mason doing the heavy digging it happened. We had to level and add crush to make a pad & dig and fill in a trench for the electric hookup.. Well done everybody. So we have had it going since Friday Morning. A whole 3 days now. I am kicking myself that we didn't do it before. It makes my early starts to the day way more pleasant. Me and the birds this am. Crows, a lost robin and an huge eagle. The crows and the eagle flew so close (not at the same time) I could hear their wings flapping.
As you can see from the last picture we will get sun later in the spring. It's still too early for total backyard sun. The houses block it out for now. There was a bit of ice on the steps into the tub when I went out this morning but once in...who cares. In the area drop by to try it. It's not a really big tub but we can fit you in in shifts. lol A couple of days ago both of my smaller grand kids got haircuts. Pictures are below. Aren't they cute? Of course they are.
My older grand kids aren't cute anymore (well maybe Josh is if he hasn't gotten his hair cut yet) but at least I can catch up with them when I want to take a picture. The older ones also will stand still and smile or just make a face or two but no dodging, dipping or squirming. M & J just never seem to sit still unless they have that vacant look on their face watching tv or a video on the Ipad. I just mention this cause they really did look "Cool" with new haircuts but taking about 20 pics....... I got two that are any good and one of them the one of Janie is just OK. Enough whining. Enjoy the shots. Well here it is Sunday morning and I can't actually remember what we did Friday night already. Guess it wasn't very exciting ! But I do remember Saturday. yes I do. It was just last night for Pete's sake. I can remember that far back. We took in the hockey game here as the Chief's played Victoria. The first loss that we have seen this year..but it's early.... we remain a 500 hockey team...... and it is early. Sooo the highlight of the night was "Soup" at our favorite PHO place in downtown Chilliwack. This Morning off to hockey with Mason. He's 6 remember. Jane didn't want to go to Mom's slowpitch game and picked going with Bumps as more fun and off we went. It's really hard to pick out your brother and your dad when they all look alike on the ice. Kids spent a lot of time falling down so after she got tired of hockey and listening to her "Bumps" bs with the other grandparents (of a certain age) Jane and I spend time in the park next door to the rink with some of her friends that she brought. It was warmer out there too and even I thought that was a big bonus. So after stopping at the A&W for a drink and a bacon&egger for 2nd breakfast we return home. Dad takes over for a while with both kids as Denise is still playing ball. Then Jane returns as Dad has to take Mason to a Birthday Party in Abbotsford and Denise won her first game so has to play again and we head off to the "Cookie Store" aka "Stupid Store" aka "The Real Canadian Super store" So I'm really looking forward to spending some time in my Zen corner out on our Patio just outside the door later this afternoon. It's really come into it's own with the good weather lately. I hope you are enjoying your first weekend of FAll as much as we are. Yes it's fall, officially on the calendar anyway. We dropped our really warm sunny weather for a bit less sun but it's dry and that's a big thing for the Fraser Valley.
