So all that practice the week before was put to the test on Saturday the 22 of June in Whistler. The team made it's way up complete with support group on Friday night. Support Group consisted of a few Grandparents wives and one husband. Chris and the kids had major pool time on the Saturday while the Mudders went off early Saturday morning for the "Race". The two photos below give you some indication of what they got themselves into. That's the Ski jumps, left over from the Whistler Olympics. The course was set up over and around the cross country ski trails as was 13 miles long. See the little people walking up the hill behind the building.? In this one you can see across the bottom people crawling through the mud under barb wire. .... and then its off up the hill and onto the next obstacle. We couldn't locate our Mudders to get them into the blog while doing one of the obstacles but we saw enough to know that we were the smart ones. Support Team only. Back in the Pool Denise going in the easy going and then spent some time in the hot tub. We stayed at a resort called IntraWest which is a time share that on occasion you can book without being a member. Two bedroom apartment condo setup. Great for families as you can see. This picture taken off our balcony. Of course being in Whistler our last name get's bandied about quite a bit. Chairs, creeks, lodges and now we discovered the smallest pub in Blackcomb. I think Judy feels like an owner I'm going to try and borrow a few photo's that were taken by others of the action just to give you a better understanding of the Maddness that the Mudders got into.
